What vitamins are made in the body?
When
you think of vitamins, you might consider taking supplements orally and
go to the vitamin aisle of the pharmacy. In fact, some vitamins are in
the human body. These are not the norm, but the body produces small
amounts of some vitamins. It 'can still be deficient in these vitamins
because of illness or other factors, so talk with your doctor if you
think you have a vitamin deficiency, because integration would still be
necessary.
Vitamin K
Vitamin K is a fat soluble vitamin, which
means that the body is able to store this vitamin in the tissues of the
body. It helps the blood to clot and helps to promote bone health.
Vitamin K is obtained only with green leafy foods, but also by bacteria
in the gut, which is why a deficiency of this vitamin is extremely rare.
If it is long-term antibiotics, has a liver disease or are taking
certain medications, may be at risk for a deficiency of vitamin K.
Pantothenic acid
Pantothenic acid, also called vitamin B-5, is found naturally in the
body in all living cells, such as an enzyme called coenzyme A, or CoA,
says Linus Pauling Institute. CoA is an enzyme crucial for the synthesis
of serotonin, obtaining energy from food, synthesize steroid hormones
and heme synthesis, part of hemoglobin. The bacteria in the colon also
help to produce this vitamin. A deficiency of pantothenic acid is rare,
and usually has only been seen with severe malnutrition in humans.
Vitamin D
Adequate blood levels of calcium and phosphorus are regulated by
vitamin D and this vitamin also helps the body absorb calcium better. It
may also help reduce the risk of cancer and other diseases. Of
different subtypes of vitamin D, vitamin D3 can be produced by the human
body when the skin is exposed to ultraviolet-B rays of the sun. Even 10
minutes of sun exposure is thought to be sufficient to prevent a
deficiency of vitamin D.
Biotin
Biotin, also known as vitamin H,
also known as one of the B vitamins, is needed to metabolize
carbohydrates and fats. Biotin helps to synthesize fatty acids, amino
acids and glucose, and helps metabolize energy. The bacteria in the gut
to make a small amount of biotin, and this vitamin can also be found in
food. When the integration is necessary, you can take supplements of
biotin or take a general B-complex supplement. What vitamins are made in the body?
